***This event is hosted by CRD Parks and takes place at Island View Beach Regional Park

Celebrate life on the beach at this drop-in event with CRD Regional Parks naturalists and special guest organizations. Participate in engaging activities while making connections with the creatures that call this beach home and the people who care for it. Join a guided walk featuring Indigenous Perspectives and learn how you can be a caretaker of this precious place for future generations. Be prepared to get your feet wet (bring sandals or beach shoes).

Our events are drop-in style and free. Come by anytime between 10am and 1pm on Saturday, July 20. All ages welcome.

Special guest organizations: CRD Environmental Protection, Dino Lab Inc., Ocean Networks Canada, Panorama Recreation, Royal BC Museum, SeaChange Marine Conservation Society, Shaw Centre for the Salish Sea and Victoria Natural History Society.

Meeting place: Meet at the grassy area adjacent to the picnic shelter off Homathko Drive.

Trail Description: Approximately 50m to event location from parking lot along a gravel path. Tents will be set up along the gravel path and on the beach, past driftwood. The beach is not wheelchair accessible. Accessible washroom available near parking lot. Two accessible parking stalls.

Please note: We like pets too. However, their presence can be disruptive for some folks. If you plan to attend one of our programs, please leave pets at home. Guide and service animals are, of course, welcome.
